The Surface

There are two choices: you ignore doing an update because there really isn’t that much happy news going on, or you touch the surface with the things that aren’t really as important.

Last week put myself in Chicago for four days and Heidi and Jake down in Woodbridge. It was the first time that I was away from Jake for more than a day and I promise that I could tell the difference when I returned. He’s growing by pounds and ounces. It’s both exciting and sad because I love little babies when they’re in their very smallest stage. He’s finally becoming “aware” of his surroundings and returns smiles for smiles and realizes that he has two hands. He’s excellent at night in that he goes for 10 – 11 hours with only getting up once – woo hoo.

This weekend dumped two feet of snow on New Hampshire. It was not what I really needed after being in bed for 48 hours with a sore throat and headache – can you say, “lack of sleep.” Regardless, it makes for beautiful days and small smiles. I just happen to love the snow. Job 38:22 Smile!
