Six Days of Sun

So I guess there was a little gap there and I should have updated this from Atlanta this past Monday. Heidi and I were hoping for warm and sunny weather, but it was mostly cool and overcast. Perhaps we will finally get our nice and warm weather down in San Diego this coming Friday. We plan to be there for six days with no definate plans. Everyone recommends the zoo and I would like to cross over into Mexico, but I think we’re going to play it by ear. Regardless, I must say I am looking forward to the beach and convertible. Lastly, although my conscience is slightly pricked in saying this, I must say that I am happy the Ottawa Senators have made it to second round and I am secretly hoping they keep up the amazing run to the end. Smile all!

Vrrooom!

That long lull I had in travel from Christmas through till the March 31 has come to an end with several trips this month and next. Last week, Heidi and I were up in Ottawa until Saturday, and I was in Cleveland OH yesterday and today. I was supposed to be in Washington tomorrow, but that has been pushed off a little. Regardless, next week will find us both in Atlanta and two weeks after that will find us in sunny southern California. I would say that the sunshine there is calling to me, but that’s not entirely true. Last week, Heidi and I were out on my bike for a most wonderful cruise, and everywhere I have looked over the past few days, I have seen more and more of them. Spring and warm weather is here and I have a serious bug to go riding. Speaking of which … smile!

Old Haunts

Sorry about not getting this update done yesterday, but it was a busy and full day. Heidi and I came up to Ottawa on Lord’s Day night in time for gospel and then went out with the YP here that evening. Yesterday was a very full day with racing to finish some things up at work (before Sales Training which starts tomorrow), going out for supper with Harry and Coralie downtown, followed by meeting some of the guys at Carleton to play a couple hours of squash. Although coming up to Ottawa is always fun, it never turns out to be entirely relaxing with the go-go-go to fit everything. We plan to be up here all week though, so hopefully we’ll be able to see everyone that we need to, plus stealing out to Crepes du France and some of our other old haunts. We were hoping for warm weather to wander downtown and to some of the nicer places, but even as I’m looking out the window, the snow is coming down. This time, I’m ready for sunshine and spring. Smile!
